Newport Revisited

We took Dominic back to the Newport Aquarium this week. Last time we went, he may have been too young to truly appreciate it, but he was all about it this time.

During the trip, D read books to us including trip specific books like "Swimmy" by Leo Lionni.

Monica carried Miles around and he slept most of the time, while Dominic explored nearly every tank.

This is called a porcupine puffer fish.

Dominic loved the sharks...

...but nothing topped the otters, which he followed back and forth as they splashed and climbed and swam in their habitat.

He was fond of feeding the birds, and he was happy that they didn't feel a need to touch him.

Even with Miles in her arms, Monica ruled the Frogger video game (I did not do so well).

These are jellyfish. Apparently there is no such thing as a peanut butter fish.

D and D.

D and M and M.
Ma'am, can you take a look and see if you can identify the one who attacked your mackerel?

No one here but us penguins.

D brought home an otter from the gift shop. It is the animal attaching his head with the Cincinnati skyline in the background.
