Hanging Out with Grandpa Watson

Dominic’s Grandpa Watson sent a photo of the two of them hanging out in Texas this week. Dominic and his mom are there for a two-week vacation that has included the wedding of one aunt and the high school graduation of the other aunt. Dominic has now had face-to-face visits with all of his grandparents.

While Dominic enjoys the sun and fun at Grandpa’s house Dad has been busy, with the help of friends and family, to move all their things to our new home in Indiana. Dad was really starting to miss Little D, so the picture in the e-mail was a welcome site.

On a side note to all of the friends back in Ohio, We miss you all and look forward to visiting again as soon as we can.

Helping Dad

As we were preparing for our upcoming move, Dominic watched dad try for several minutes to unbolt the legs of the dining room table before finally showing his Pa the helpful rule of “righty tighty – lefty loosey.”
After that Dad let Dominic take care of the rest of the work (under close supervision, of course).

A Great Actor in the Making

Dominic has nearly perfected his tantrum skills. He is usually very well behaved if he is playing on his own in his room or playpen. But, as soon as he sees Mom, Dominic will put on a show that would concern someone who was not accustomed to his fake distress.
He now has full control of the pitch, volume and duration of screams as well as an Academy Award-worthy ability to produce heart-wrenching tears on demand.
As his parents, we used to worry when he would be standing up or sitting on the floor and let out a noise that would usually be reserved for bear trap accidents; but those worries were alleviated when we realized that he would immediately smile or even giggle once we made a move to pick him up.

Flying Under a Partly Cloudy Sky

There are so many things to thank God for each day. Today we are thankful for this little boy's smile, his shining eyes, and beautiful weather. Focus on your blessings and your problems seem just a bit farther away.

Dominic & Mom Step Outside to Enjoy Spring Temperatures

Dominic seems to have a better understanding that a camera is for smiling into. We love his smile, which now has three tiny teeth, but now it's a bit harder to get candid shots unless he doesn't see the camera first.

A Hug & A Sip of Water

Dominic enjoys some quiet time with his ABC's frog and a cool refreshing bottle of water.
