Bath Time Smiles

Mix one rubber ducky, one dirty baby, two parts soap, and a tub full of warm water. Let sit for 15-minutes and you’ll have one giggly child.

Stroller Nap

Dominic takes a nap in his stroller while joining Mom, Dad, Uncle Halbert and Rachel on a walking tour of the riverfront area of our town. Everytime Dad sees Dominic sleeping he wishes it were okay for adults to just take a break in the middle of the day for a short snooze.

Playing Games With His Food

Dominic’s favorite game lately is to offer a handful of his food to mom or dad and then, just as they come in for a bite, he giggles and eats the food himself. We keep on falling for it.

Strumming Lesson

Dominic seems more and more aware of how things work each day. The other day he strummed the guitar while dad held down different chords. Now if he can just find some rhythm (which still eludes dad) he may turn out to be quite a musician.

These Are A Few Of His Favorite Things

We will occasionally post photos of things that Dominic loves to look at or play with each day. This will be more of a reminder to us than for him (Oh, look remember when he’d giggle every time he would see that butterfly in the window!)
We have noticed that his interests can change every hour or every day, so we want to hold on to them however we can.
(While Dominic loves Sam and giggled when he saw this picture today, we cannot say that Sam returns the sentiment. The kitty-kitty is a bit too laid make for an adventurous baby)

Dominic & Mom With a Fancy Border

Dominic makes his way around the couch and coffee table with a hand from Mom. Uncle Halbert shot this photo and put a fancy border around it. It is our desktop picture on the computer right now.

Walking By Himself (with a little help)

Dominic is making use of his new walker/activity center to explore our new apartment in Indiana. Unlike his first home, this apartment is all on one floor, giving him plenty of space to run (and crawl) around. We have had to shut him out of the kitchen though, because every time we turned our backs, he was making a b-line for the cat food dish and stealing the kitties' vittles.

More Photos From Texas

These are far from all of the Texas vacation pictures that we have left to share. But, to keep the variety in this blog, we will be piecemealing the rest of them.
This portion shows Dominic at play with his friend Barrett as well as Dominic enjoying an Un-Chocolate Chip Cookie that his Grandma Watson made especially for him (since he hasn’t been cleared to eat chocolate yet).

Fun at the Water Park

As the vacation continues, Dominic was able to experience his first water park. He hung out with his aunt Katie and uncle Sean, who just returned from their honeymoon. He played in the sand while soaking up some rays (with SPF 1,000 sunscreen of course). He played and posed for pictures under the waterfall. And finally, he decided it was time for a brief nap on folding lawn chair. Everybody should enjoy their vacations as much as Dominic has.
Dominic and his Mom will be returning from Texas on Wednesday. As soon as his three-hour flight is over, he’ll have a three to four hour car ride to endure in order to get to our new home in Indiana. Once all of the cameras are downloaded there are sure to be a few more photos from the trip that we will post on the site.
