Out On The Town

We originally planned to take Dominic out to the barber for his first haircut on Saturday, but when we got downtown, we found the shop closed. So, since the weather was still unseasonably warm, we decided to take a walk together instead.

Before heading out, Dominic shows us that he can put his hat on all by himself now (even if it is a bit off-center).

Dominic smiles as mom takes the twists and turns down the hill on the way to downtown.

Dominic does some window-shopping…

…But is then surprised by one of the dogs that live at the hardware store.

Dominic smiles at passersby from inside the candy store.

Then waits to surprise the mailman.

Cookie! Cookie!

Dominic helped Mom make cookies for Dad last weekend. Here are a couple of photos.

After mixing up the ingredients, Dominic learned how to dole out the batter onto the cookie sheet…


…But when Mom wasn’t looking, he tried to take a cookie dough sample for himself…


…Unluckily for him, he has a terrible poker face (the dough and chocolate chips around his mouth didn’t help his case any).


Once the baking was complete, Dominic and Dad sat down for some warm, soft cookie deliciousness. Before Dad could finish, Dominic decided to count all of the chocolate chips in each cookie…


…But after Dad finished, Dominic had to fight Dad off to keep the rest of his own cookie.
